“Artist of his Country” Eli Whitney

“Artist of His Country” Eli Whitney

Eli Whitney explains his opinions on how to properly run a business and the skills needed to produce things using his machines . He explains that not many people are good at their job and there are only a few good people within a job. Only some workers have the proper skills to do things. It takes time and effort to do things right. He explains that he would prefer to have unskilled workers rather than skilled workers because they are more likely to learn and absorb things quicker. However, with the ways that he viewed things he was never able to create and mass produce things. He resorted to hand manufacturing. However, he did create new machines that would help speed up the process. He created a faster way to make tools and helped inspire others to do the same. His ideas and creations were shared throughout the manufacturing business and he was not afraid to keep them a secret. Later on, Manufacturing and product production sored. Most manufacturers liked the idea of interchangeable parts and not just in the arms industry.

I believe that the production of his machines will help speed up mass production. I believe they will make manufacturing easier than resorting to labor work. It will speed up the process on how fast things are produced. It will also impact and change society and industries all around the world. It will help speed up production on tools and armed weapons. I believe his machines will help positively boost the economy in many different ways.
